Fingerprints

People generally believe that finger prints are objective proof and have a long standing basis in science.  However this article illustrates the history of finger prints, the abuses and the purely subjective nature of the analysts.  The National Academy of Science report started an important dialogue about how to improve forensic science that is used in American courts.  This article helps underscore just how much improvement needs to occur.
